About the job:

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in the Commercial Insurance / Reinsurance practice at Synpulse, you will support leading (re)insurance companies in navigating complex transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in analyzing strategic and operational challenges, designing innovative solutions, and implementing change - from strategy through to execution. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with our clients and act as a driving force within interdisciplinary project teams.

This role is open across Germany. We are looking for suitable profiles nationwide. Thanks to our flexible working models and project-based setup, you can be based anywhere in Germany. Travel requirements depend on client needs and project phases, not on proximity to a specific office location.

Job requirements

• First class Bachelor or Master's degree from a well-regarded university.
• Affinity for IT and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and interest in complex systems such as reinsurance core platforms, data landscapes, and integration architectures.
• Relevant experience in commercial insurance and reinsurance, or a demonstrated affinity towards the industry.
• Strong communication skills in English required, German preferred.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
• High capacity for teamwork and social competences.

For Consultant:

• First consulting or (re)insurance industry experience through internships or entry-level roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with curiosity and initiative. Confident communicator in client-facing situations.

For Senior Consultant:

• 2-5years of relevant experience in consulting or within a (re) insurance company.
• Proven ability to manage workstreams or subprojects independently.
• Experience in stakeholder management and mentoring junior colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

• Support or lead projects in areas such as digital transformation, process optimization, operating model design, data-centric and agentic operations, systemimplementation and migration, and bespoke (re)insurance software delivery.
• Analyze business models and requirements to identify pain points and improvement opportunities, as well as visualize and communicate solutions to clients.
• Design future-state-landscapes and solutions from business to operations & data strategy, to technical software design and implementation.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues, clients and partners and contribute to workshops, client presentations, and project deliverables.
• Work in international settings with colleagues and clients across geographies and cultures.
• Contribute to knowledge building, methodologydevelopment, and internal initiatives within the Synpulse Commercial Insurance & Reinsurancepractice.
• Depending on your level, you will either support workstreams (Consultant) or take responsibility for managing them (Senior Consultant), including coordination of team members and direct interaction with client stakeholders.
