About EF

A language is best learned where it is spoken. At the beginning of a success recipe often lies a simple idea: When the Swede Bertil Hult founded EF in 1965 and conducted a language stay for a student group in England, he inadvertently invented the language travel concept. Today, EF is the largest private provider of language trips, cultural exchanges, and international educational programs, with a presence in over 100 countries and more than 50,000 employees.

Opening the World through Education

No matter how different they may be, all EF products have one thing in common: They reflect our company philosophy that knowledge of foreign languages, intercultural experiences, and international education contribute to better global understanding.

Career at EF

If our founder Bertil Hult had been an ideological dreamer, EF would never have become the world's largest educational provider. Sales focus, ambitious goals, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking, along with always being a bit faster and better than the others, make EF successful. Only with the right teams in our sales offices worldwide can we achieve our goals. Academic degrees, vocational training, experience, or industry-specific knowledge are less important to us than the right attitude and entrepreneurial thinking. Those who are an 'EF type' have countless opportunities for a career in Germany or worldwide and can take on diverse leadership positions in just a few years.
