Die DKMS ist eine internationale gemeinnützige Organisation, deren Ziel es ist, weltweit so vielen Blutkrebspatient:innen wie möglich eine zweite Lebenschance zu geben und Zugang zu Stammzelltransplantationen zu verschaffen.
In der DKMS sind mehr als 12,5 Millionen potenzielle Spenderinnen und Spender registriert. Die DKMS ist außer in Deutschland in den USA, Polen, UK, Chile, Indien und Südafrika aktiv.
Durch internationale Projekte und Hilfsprogramme verschafft die DKMS noch mehr Menschen weltweit Zugang zu einer lebensrettenden Therapie. Darüber hinaus engagiert sich die DKMS in den Bereichen Medizin, Wissenschaft und Forschung, um die Heilungschancen von Patient:innen zu verbessern.
