This role is open across Germany. We are looking for suitable profiles nationwide. Thanks to our flexible working models and project-based setup, you can be based anywhere in Germany. Travel requirements depend on client needs and project phases, not on proximity to a specific office location.

About the job:

As an IT Consultant at Synpulse, you will bridge the gap between business and technology by delivering innovative, tailored solutions to our clients in the financial services industry. You will play a vital role in translating complex business requirements into technical concepts and driving the implementation of cutting-edge systems and platforms. Your expertise helps clients optimize their processes, enhance performance, and future-proof their IT landscape. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and act as a key technical advisor throughout all project phases.

• You get to know the entire business spectrum of our customers
• You master operational excellence of our clients, drive digital transformation efforts and ensure smooth implementation of new banking systems and solutions for the biggest industry players
• You work on the frontline and assist with all phases of the project life cycle i.e. functional analysis, requirements engineering, project planning, technical development, testing and deployment to ensure project deliverables meet defined scope
• You apply critical and strategic thinking to develop recommendations that address client's challenges
• You conduct workshops with the client to collect requirements
• You assist the client in defining use cases and are responsible for the parameterization (customization/development) of functionality in banking systems such as Avaloq or Temenos Triple'A/T24
• You respond to, and handle complex issues in testing and productive system
• You gather requirements related to the integration of new systems
• You are in close contact and interact directly with our customers

About you:

• You have a master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, Mathematics or related fields - or will complete it in the near future, with an excellent GPA
• You have experience with Development framework, integration platform and/or core system
• Good programming skills are an advantage (e.g. Java / Kotlin, SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, Python)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, professional experience in business analysis is a plus
• Strong communication skill in German and English
• Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented and proactive
• Professional experience in banking, wealth management and financial services industry

• Experience working with project management methodology is a plus
• You are willing to travel regularly
