POSITION: Installation Engineer

LOCATION: Düsseldorf, Berlin, Bayreuth, Würzburg

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The position holder supports the Lead Installation Engineer in planning and executing installation activities and completing work packages throughout the entire project implementation phase.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and assess planning and documentation for installation activities in close collaboration with the client.
• Support the definition of cable routing by checking and calculating pulling forces and determining joint locations, taking into account technical (including environmental) parameters and subcontractor capabilities.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications for subcontractors and clients.
• Review, evaluate, and comment on documents from subcontractors and clients during various project phases, coordinating with other departments (e.g. logistics), and distribute the information accordingly (internally and externally).
• Ensure that implementation is carried out in accordance with documented plans and procedures.
• Prepare the final “As Built” documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in engineering, e.g. civil engineering or a similar field.
• Several years of experience in land cable installation or comparable sectors (e.g. pipeline construction).
• German and English language skills: C1 level or higher.
• Proficiency with standard software such as MS Project, MS Office, AutoCAD, and GIS.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and goal-oriented skills.
• Pragmatic approach.
